At the gateway of the Beaujolais vineyards, the project contributes to the qualification of one of the city’s entrances. The location of the project is defined by the preservation and the emphasis on the existing landscape heritage.

National Heavy Vehicle Engineering Technology Research Center / CCDI GROUP 21 Design Studio

The project’s context -The National Heavy Vehicle Engineering and Technology Research Center is located in the center of Jinan High-tech Zone, adjacent to Hanyu Golden Valley in the north, and close to Shunao Park, with convenient transportation and a good landscape. The project covers an area of 22861 square meters, with a total building area of 145516.21 square meters, a tower curtain wall height of 96m, and a structural roof height of 89.85 meters.

Moonah Tree House / Kirby Architects

An unassuming beauty, this coastal home is crafted from understated natural materials that have been worked in a master craftsman-like manner. An ancient Moonah tree on the site influenced Architect Kirby Roper’s arrangement of internal /external relationships. Indigenous to the area, Moonah trees have long connections with the coastal woodlands and Traditional Owners. Preserving and celebrating the tree was integral to formulating the design of the house. "From the kitchen, it kind of feels like you're in a tree house, and from the decks, you feel nestled amongst the leaves and branches, while the foliage lends privacy to the outdoor living space", explained Kirby.

Binfengtang Pottery School in Yixing / Norihiko Dan and Associates

Yixing, a city in Jiangsu Provence, is in the Jiangnan region on the south bank of the Yangtze River, approximately 150 km west of Shanghai. It is known historically as a thriving area that produces pottery of traditional tea bowls and utensils. The family of the client (owner of the building), Mr. Gao, has been involved in pottery for generations in the area, and after he studied pottery in Japan, he opened a pottery studio in Beijing and then returned to his hometown, Yixing, where he established a ceramics studio and pottery school.
