Roelevard Complex / B2Ai + Snøhetta

The transformative development Roelevard is breathing new life into Roeselare's historic railway district. Together with local architect B2Ai, Snøhetta has developed a mixed-use complex in the Flemish municipality of Roeselare, Belgium, that reconnects the city's urban fabric, transforming a once-divided site into a vibrant hub for living, working, and gathering. Roelevard, a union of the name Roeselare and the word boulevard, is a mixed-use complex that transforms the old railway station area in the historic city of Roeselare in Belgium. The buildings are recreating the area that used to be divided by the rail line into a vibrant work and living environment with new connecting points. Located in the center of the Flemish municipality, adjacent to Roeselare Central Station, the project strengthens connections between the front of the station and the previously undeveloped areas behind the tracks, reuniting the two sides of the city.

Casa E.T. Renovation and Extension / Studio Bocchi

The project concerns the renovation and expansion of a farmhouse located inside a courtyard on the crest of the hills of the Piedmont area of the Reggio Emilia Apennines. The stone building, dating back to the early 1900s, had already been the subject of renovation and consolidation interventions over time that had led to the creation of reinforced concrete terraces in the areas towards the valley, and in recent times to the renovation of the roof and the addition of a concrete and wood portico on the east side.

Living Cycles in Regenerative Architecture: Lessons from the Goetheanum

As climate uncertainty and ecosystem changes reshape design priorities, architecture plays an increasingly active role in these discussions, rather than merely observing. Within this perspective, the idea of making a "re" encourages a conscious step back to rethink, reconnect, and realign the relationship between buildings and their environments. This approach, central to regenerative architecture, extends beyond specific technologies or scales, encompassing everything from master plans that aim to re-naturalize cities to national pavilions that combine art and science.

City Park Residence / Alterstudio Architecture

Perched along a verdant slope overlooking downtown Austin, the City Park Residence by Alterstudio Architecture is delicately interwoven into the rugged beauty of its surroundings. In a dramatic panorama, the rolling hills of western Austin frame the urban skyline with the iconic Pennybacker Bridge in a picturesque mid-ground. Suspended in dynamic tension between these extravagant views and the intimacy of a private court, the constant allure of the spectacular is counterbalanced by grounded elements that offer moments of pause and embrace.
