Nómada Chiado Restaurant / Spacegram

Nómada Chiado is the latest experimental destination to be inducted into Lisbon’s vibrant food scene. Known for their innovative fusion food, Nómada’s restaurant owners approached Spacegram for a second collaboration with a desire to create an experiential and uniquely immersive space. Their brief involved the transformation of a barren, vault-like interior characterised by domed structures into an enveloping, warm and sophisticated dining atmosphere.

Urban planning requirements were one of the main elements significantly influencing the design of this new single-family house from the very beginning. The house is located on a 13-acre plot within a residential development in Ohain.

Urban-Planning Situation - At the beginning of the 20th century, Berlin's Osthafen (East Harbour) was one of the largest industrial harbours in the city. Intended for transportation and storage of goods, a three-storey administration building with a canteen and storage buildings, and warehouses shaped the Spree embankment along Stralauer Allee between Oberbaumbrücke (Oberbaum Bridge) and Treptower Park. Today, the picture is completed by modern office and residential buildings. Media, fashion, and creative firms have discovered this exclusive area around the 'MediaSpree' for themselves. In the early 2000s, TCHOBAN VOSS Architekten set out a master plan for new construction and further development of the Osthafen area, incorporating the historical buildings.

Snow Peak Cafe is nestled within a two-story red brick building in MATRO Luxury Centre in Suzhou, adjacent to the northern edge of the Humble Administrator's Garden. Once 22 red-brick warehouses built in the 1950s, the site has been reimagined into the classical gardens of Suzhou, where architectural order meets the organic flow of nature — a quiet balance of industrial memory and natural ease. Responding to this unique urban fabric, the architect grounded the design in Snow Peak's core philosophy of "Embrace Your Nature," using spatial strategy and material articulation to interpret the essence of nature and freedom.
