A New College in a French Village / CoCo architecture + Jean de Giacinto Architecture Composite

A new college in a French village: an innovative learning environment, sustainable and pedagogical. The construction of buildings dedicated to education is a unique opportunity to see architecture participate in the transmission of knowledge in a playful way. The project aimed at setting an example in terms of comfort and brightness. It has been designed to facilitate its use by the operator, in particular for access management and security. Building a place of learning is an opportunity to develop curiosity and constructive awakening in the child. As in the construction of a shack, the assembly of the materials that form the building must be easily readable by students.

Varanda House / Esquadra Arquitetos

Designed to make the most of the native vegetation and enhance the natural beauty of the land, Casa Varanda was born from a careful listening to the place itself. The project was built on a spacious lot with a gentle slope and rich vegetation of Cerrado trees such as paineiras and other species.

Apartment 31 / NS Studio

The Tbilisi apartment is designed to offer a balance of comfort, aesthetic sophistication, and adaptability. Spanning 170 m², the goal was to create a space where the overall design serves as a versatile backdrop, allowing the apartment to shift in character depending on the residents' needs and moods. This is achieved through a carefully chosen combination of materials, colors, and furnishings that can easily be updated or changed, giving the space both functional and visual flexibility.

The School of Social Development / studio berardi miglio

The humanitarian organization Jay Nepal asked us to plan a school and volunteer center in a very remote place, a small and very poor village called Bodgaun in Nepal, about three hour's drive north of the capital Kathmandu. From the very beginning, we were aware that realizing this project, in many aspects, would be a complex challenge: having started the planning during the pandemic, we had not been able to visit the site, the financial resources were very limited (about one hundred thousand euros) and the planning and realization time was tight.
