The Under Space Revival / Aangan Collaborative LLP

In the heart of Surat, a city known for its layered urban fabric and entrepreneurial spirit, an underused space beneath a flyover is reimagined—not as a leftover remnant of infrastructure, but as a vibrant, democratic ground for play and pause.

House in Vila do Açude / Entremeios Arquitetura

The design of Casa da Vila do Açude is based on the simplicity and warmth of Minas Gerais homes, aiming for a cozy home with generous living spaces and capitalizing on the strong presence of nature as a compositional element. The house is organized in simple formal gestures, based on two rectilinear volumes that intersect and slightly overlap, connected by an internal staircase. With a steep slope and significant presence of native vegetation in the initial portion of the lot, the project is implemented in the rear portion of the lot, on the flattest part of the topography, where it takes advantage of the view of the charming village of Conceição de Ibitipoca.

Claudine Hermann Secondary School / Ameller Dubois

The new Massy secondary school is built on the Vilgénis site, formerly the Air France Aviation Apprenticeship Training Center. This 22-hectare site, with its exceptional woodland character, partially listed, provides the school with a green setting in which this major facility must blend as harmoniously as possible. With a strong commitment to maximising the preservation of these landscaped areas, the project adopts a highly compact form. The building follows the natural slope of the land to avoid the excessive spread of this large-scale programme.

Bospad House / maa_architecture studio

This house is situated on a small trapezoidal plot in a wooded setting. The rear façade faces south. However, the veranda is completely cut off from the rest of the house. Its size and proportions make it difficult to fit into the space. The rest of the house needed to be completely renovated, in particular to adapt the spaces to the family's needs (the existing kitchen is old and very small!) and to give the house a more contemporary look. To achieve this, the existing veranda was demolished and a new extension built at the back of the house.
