KGM2 House / micelle

A project to rebuild a residence on a dark site on a northern slope into a residence for the working of ceramics in a hut. Considering the client's request for a 'fortress-like hut' to protect his creation and life from outdoor obstacles (noise that interferes with work, glare and reflections, thermal environment, unnecessary visitors, etc.), the concept was based on a membrane that selectively takes in the outside.

Kua Bay Residence / Walker Warner Architects

Situated along a rugged stretch of coastline, the family retreat embraces the spirit of Mauka-Makai—the symbolic flow of lava from mountain to sea—through its direct connections to the volcanic landscape and dramatic vistas of the Pacific Ocean. Kua Bay Residence’s site captures the stark contrasts between land and sea in the Hawaiian topography. On the mountainside of the property, dark lava formations create a dramatic backdrop. On the ocean side, the immediate adjacency to the turquoise oceanfront makes you feel as if you are standing on the edge of the earth. The challenge was to manipulate the site so that the buildings would blend with the landscape while providing a graceful and multi-layered experience from the mountain to the sea.

Beira-Mar Residence in Maragogi / Porto Neves Arquitetura

In a seafront located lot, at the Maragogi-AL beach, we design the architecture and interiors of this beach house with five suites, that open themselves generously to the landscape. Conceived in a mixed structure of metallic pillars and beams, with concrete slabs, and covering in wood, we explored the spatiality provided by these structural systems, with great gaps and fluid and integrated spaces.
