Located in the heart of San Francisco’s Civic Center, the city’s performing arts district, the Ute & William K. Bowes, Jr. Center for Performing Arts at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) was designed by Mark Cavagnero Associates (Cavagnero) as a “vertical campus” that incorporates student housing, dining, classrooms, rehearsal rooms, performance spaces, and a radio station all under one roof.

Sports Building Erasmus University Rotterdam / VenhoevenCS

Energy-neutral sports complex by VenhoevenCS for Erasmus University. Sports Building on Campus Woudestein Rotterdam opened. Sports Building stimulates social and healthy student life at campus Woudestein of Erasmus University Rotterdam. VenhoevenCS architecture+urbanism designed this sports complex to accommodate over fifty sports by stacking the sports hall on a compact plot. The complex functions are energy-neutral and the lively public interior is fashioned from circularly harvested, re-used materials. The central axis through the building functions as destination and transit at the same time and is a true physical and social connector. Sports Building was officially opened this fall.

Dockley Apartments / Studio Woodroffe Papa

Anglo-Dutch architecture practice, Studio Woodroffe Papa, and Bordeaux-based Poggi Architecture have completed a mixed-use scheme on Dockley Road in the London Borough of Southwark for developer Matching Green. With a distinct visual presence, the 111-unit residential scheme provides a European take on housing design for the capital and the rest of the UK.

Rehabilitation Atlético Sporting Club / Estudio ODS

Rehabilitation of the old Atlético Sporting Clube building and adaptation to Cultural Association. The intention was to rehabilitate the first floor of the building of the former Atlético Sporting Clube in Loule, reconciling the preservation of heritage, the maintenance of its identity and collective memory, with a contemporary approach, enabling adaptation to a cultural association, with the current requirements of comfort and flexibility required.
