Kineum Office Building / Reflex Arkitekter

Located in the growing sector of Gårda, adjacent to Gothenburg’s city center, Reflex Arkitekter has designed Kineum: a high-rise building that revitalizes and brings new interactions to the area. Consisting of 28 stories of a mixed-use program that holds offices, a hotel, a spa, a gym, a conference facilities, and services, Kineum provides a combination of spaces that promote dynamic progress, interesting encounters, and relaxing getaways.

Kingsland Residence / Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects

Kingsland Residence is unique since it is the family residence of Takashi Yanai and Patti Rhee, both partners at EYRC. Yanai was born in Japan, and raised in California. For many years, he lived in Japan and served as the editor of GA Houses. He is known for his minimal aesthetic which reflects tenets of both Californian and Japanese modernism.

David Chipperfield Architects Unveils Winning Design for the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, Greece

Selected from a shortlist of 10 proposals, David Chipperfield’s design won the competition for the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, Greece. Housing one of the world’s most important collections of prehistoric and ancient art, the National Archaeological Museum, will undergo refurbishment and extension works, including a subterranean addition with a roof garden. The proposal was developed together with Wirtz International, Tombazis & Associate Architects, wh-p ingenieure, Werner Sobek, and Atelier Brückner.
