Brief & concept. Our clients aimed to bring the essence of the Mediterranean town of Cadaques, home of their first restaurant, to their new gastronomic concept in Barcelona. Slate roads, blue windows to the Sea, vessels rocking on the bay, and wicker craftsmanship invading its streets are part of the artsy spirit of Dali's town. Our design aims to recreate this picturesque spirit but reinterpreted from a contemporary urban perspective.

House and Atelier among the Foothills of Buda / GUBAHÁMORI

Remeteszőlős is located at the foot of the Buda Hills, north of the village center there are protected forests since 1983, and the village center is also characterized by intensive, multi-level green spaces. Until 1970, the area was a site of agricultural production belonging to the neighboring municipality, which was converted into a recreation area after parceling out in 1972-73.

Idilana Artisan Workshop / Semper Vera

At the start of the project stands a Franco-Malgasy association seeking to help and develop opportunities for villages in Madagascar. The building is intended to become the central place for Idilana and its villagers. Fostering an artisan and sewing workshop as well as a community center, the construction provides a multipurpose space for the village.

Sonnenwinkel House / Carolus Zschieschang Architektur

The existing residential building has been extended by a two-story annex. The extension hides behind the old building and surprises visitors when they walk around it to reach the original entrance when the upper floor cantilevers and seems to levitate from behind the existing building.
