Beehive Pavilion / OCA (Office for Collective Architecture)

SoLa Impact’s mission to preserve, refresh, and create high-quality affordable housing has revitalized Black and Brown communities throughout Los Angeles. Since 2015, SoLa has acquired 1,500 units and is currently developing, constructing, and rehabbing another 1,300 new units in the greater Los Angeles area. SoLa Impact currently owns and manages 200+ buildings across its three real estate funds.

The Stack Offices at Deep Ellum / 5G Studio Collaborative

Located in the culturally rich district of Deep Ellum, The Stack is a mixed-used building that transforms work environments, provides for occupants' well-being, and embraces the cultural history of the area.

Renovation of the Priorat / Atienza Maure Arquitectos

Context. The project consists of the rehabilitation of a Castilian mansion from the s. XVI had burned in a fire in 2011. Only the stone walls, the staircase with a vault, and the voussoirs of the collapsed arches remained. The building had formerly been used as the residence of the prior of the Monastery of Oña.

The Architecture of Countercultures: Utopian Movements in the United States and Berlin, Germany

The Law of Polarity holds good in relation to human society and cultures as well - everything has an opposite. Countercultures have erupted as condemnations of “the ways of the world”. A countercultural movement expresses the ethos and aspirations of a population during a specific time. As new lifestyles are explored, supporting architecture evolves to satiate the utopian ideals of new societies. Architecture is a product of the culture it is designed for.
