M2 House is part of a series of projects developed for Malaspina Design, a leading company in the design of sustainable housing in the State of Oregon, on the West Coast of the USA, which contacted us to explore the limits between the Pacific Northwest dream house and contemporary architecture.

Student Residence in Paris / NZI Architectes

The Constructive Choice. To reduce the impact of the construction sector, it is important to review our construction methodology and take advantage of techniques using less energy. In this way, we proposed to rehabilitate this office building by filling it with prefabricated wood panels with bio-sourced insulation such as straw. At a lower cost, the project uses a rapid construction technique. Insulation made of straw is a natural and high-performance material.

The Cooperative is based on one of the plots of the residential estate that emerged in the 90s from the urbanization of the surroundings of Santa Marta´s Hermitage, next to Monte de Conxo. In the ordination proposed by the current urban planning, the buildings for residential use are developed in open blocks in a U-shape embracing inner courtyards for private use.

LUISS Guido Carli University Campus Hub / Alvisi Kirimoto + Partners + Studio Gemma

Close to Villa Ada, in the heart of the Parioli district in Rome, Alvisi Kirimoto with Studio Gemma has designed a new hub surrounded by greenery for the LUISS Guido Carli University campus. The intervention, which completes the university spaces and enhances the surrounding green areas, has involved the demolition of an existing shed, subject to landscape constraints, construction from scratch, and the expansion of an educational building.
