In February 2021, A Gentil Carioca gallery decided to expand its exhibition spaces beyond the renamed historical guesthouse situated in the Saara region, in Rio de Janeiro, by taking its artwork to the Paulista capital.

The primary challenge for the project was to integrate the car park with its direct urban context, enabling new motion patterns in this part of town. The ground floor is divided into two distinct levels, in response to the natural slope of the terrain. By doing so the building becomes an extension of the public space. During the day, the ground floor serves as a vital connection between streets and residential areas. 

PannKa Part is a play and community center located in the heart of a vibrant residential district of Budapest. The project is situated on the street level of the Palatinus House, a residential building considered one of the most modern and luxurious buildings at its construction in 1911. The property has beautiful spaces with extreme heights, huge portals, and a spectacular view of the Danube, Margaret Island, and Buda hills.

In the contemporary context, as has been said a multitude of times, we seem to be living in what is classified as a digital age. A worldwide pandemic has enhanced the popularity of digital avenues to communicate — such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and the multiplatform messaging app WhatsApp is reported to have over 2 billion active users. From an environmental standpoint, we see the migration of businesses to the “cloud” heralded as a sustainability win. In simplified terms and to pick out a specific example, companies can refrain from storing data on external hard drives, opting instead to store their data on online file hosting services.
