Misshumasshu Restaurant / Maja Bernvill

A Spatial Encounter Between Japan and Sweden, Maja Bernvill Designs the New Misshumasshu Restaurant in Stockholm. The transformation of the historic Birger Jarl Passage brings it into a new era. As Misshumasshu reopens in its new, large-scale incarnation, it does so in a setting where architecture and gastronomy engage with the weight of the site's history. Architect Maja Bernvill is behind the new design of the restaurant.

Sahara Cottage / Ateljé Ö

A summer cottage in the forest glade - Built from local materials, by local artisans, the house amongst the pines strikes you as a simple yet sophisticated building. Upon arrival, the house, standing on light stilts, seemingly floats over the forest floor overgrown with fern, leaving only a minimal footprint.

Casa Oblivio / M.O.B design studio

Casa Oblivio attempts to spatially articulate the encounter between memory and oblivion. It is a house born of lived experience, a dwelling rooted in place, where childhood play was transformed into architectural intent. An architectural gesture embedded in light, air, the immaterial, and the silence of the Mediterranean inland.

Urban Living Lab / Su Chang Design Research Office

The design of Re:Tai Kok Tsui Pavilion combines local galvanized steel crafts and laminated bamboo materials to create a communal space for the transforming Tai Kok Tsui neighbourhood. The fluid form of the vessels creates an image of the moving waves and reactivates the public's collective memory of Tai Kok Tsui's unique spatial quality between sea and land, provoking a new imagination of Tai Kok Tsui's urban future.
