This year marks 20 years since the first VELUX Daylight Symposium—two decades of shared insights, ideas, and exploration into the role of daylight in our built environment. Emerald Sound House / Luigi Rosselli Architects

There is a taste of the tropics along the eastern coast of Australia, where small bays tumble down to the waters of the Pacific Ocean. One bay in particular, located only a short distance from the Sydney CBD, is more akin to a narrow and swimmable sound and is characterised by glistening emerald waters and surrounded by a diverse collection of housing arrayed around its steep cliffs of sandstone and lush vegetation like the tiers of an amphitheatre.

New Science and Technology Museum of Henan Province / TJAD Atelier L+

The land of the Central Plains is ancient and new, and the stars of science, technology, and humanities shine brightly. The New Science and Technology Museum of Henan Province draws inspiration from the "Heluo Culture", resembling a natural shape formed by the confluence of the Yellow River and the Luo River, with a grand and relaxed atmosphere, as if it were naturally formed; Like a flying bird flapping its wings, it spreads its wings in the Central Plains with a strong sense of culture and technology.

PIKOH School of Arts / BOT architektuurcollectief + Import Export Architecture

PIKOH, School of Arts in Hasselt, offers secondary education in visual, media, and performing arts. Because of the exponential growth of the school, there was a great need for a new building for the first grade with its own classrooms, workshops, restaurant, multipurpose hall, sports hall, and administration. This development is part of the transformation of the "Elfde-Linie" city campus, inspired by the American Campus Model.
