Zero Emission Data Center ISHIKARI (ZED ISHIKARI) / TAISEI DESIGN Planners Architects & Engineers

Aiming for architecture that harmoniously coexists with nature – ZED Ishikari is located in a 100% renewable energy area in the industrial zone extending along Ishikari Bay in Hokkaido. This is a region where people have been exploring ways to adapt to the vagaries of nature, such as inclement climate and the flooding of the Ishikari River. Human activities associated with settlement and industrial development have had a great impact on the natural environment. The same region, however, has become a place that benefits from natural energy.

Jacona House / TAAB

Located on the banks of the Celio River in Jacona, Michoacán, the house rests on a triangular plot of land, with one of its edges curved, just like the corner closest to the water. The perimeter wall arises from this shape, folds, opens to welcome, and then wraps around the gardens as if cradling them, with a movement inspired by the river adjacent to the property.

OAKV Healthcare Space / Atelier Carle

Medical clinics have long been rooted in a tradition of cold, sterile spaces. More recently, and especially among physicians specializing in aesthetic treatments, there has been a shift toward providing care in a warmer, more relaxed environment, reflecting a desire to humanize medical practice.

House of Espinheira / Partner4Build

The House of Espinheira was conceived from a concept that combines the pragmatism of form and the materials that provide resistance or protection from natural elements, resulting in a work of refined language. Its genesis lies in a initial gesture of folding, an architectural origami emerging from the simplicity of a paper napkin, exploring the relationship between form and function.
