KING ONE Community Center / E+UV

Jinwan Aviation New City, one of Zhuhai's fastest-growing areas, urgently needed a new community center to meet the demands of its expanding population. The site, located in the heart of this new district, consisted of four standalone ancillary buildings surrounded by dense housing developments. However, due to rushed planning, these buildings suffered from design flaws: closed facades, disconnected circulation, and a lack of functional synergy. The client's initial plan was to renovate the facades and assign each building a distinct function—offices, community activities, or retail—to serve as ancillary facilities supporting daily community life. However, with budget severely limited, a conventional renovation approach would only deliver piecemeal improvements. A new strategy was required. During on-site investigations, the architects recognized that the key to creating a true community hub lay not in simply upgrading the facades, but in reimagining the spirit of place. At the heart of this vision was a long-overlooked gem—the adjacent municipal green park.

House Toca / ARKITITO Arquitetura

Going against the grain of a traditional residence, Casa Toca emerges from a diverse program that includes domestic spaces, an art studio, a music studio, and areas for gatherings — reflecting the lifestyle of its residents, architect Tito Ficarelli and visual artist Luiza Gottschalk, who are also responsible for the design. This is the third home conceived and built by the couple for different stages of their life together.

Forn Lleva't Bakery / Quim Olea · Estudi d'Arquitectura

Forn Lleva't is the transformation of an old warehouse on Carrer dels Fossos, in the historic center of Avinyonet de Puigventós, into an artisanal bakery that revives the town's bread-making tradition and restores its social and cultural role. More than a simple renovation, the project is conceived as a sensitive reading of place—an architecture that listens, interprets, and supports rather than imposes. The intervention treats the existing structure not as a blank canvas but as a living material archive, where memory, texture, and craftsmanship shape the spatial and sensory experience.

Wooster Penthouse / FORRM Architects

After a devastating fire destroyed the interior of this Wooster Street penthouse apartment, the owners took the opportunity to turn it into something special. Located in a historic brick former warehouse building with an underutilized outdoor space, they wanted to maximize the exterior and modernize the interior. To create a connection between inside and out, layout flexibility, and more light at the lower level with a modest construction budget, every decision needed to count.
