Expo 2025 Osaka Pavilion null² / Noiz Architects

NOIZ has recently completed the architectural design of "null²," one of eight Signature Pavilions at Expo 2025 Osaka, produced by researcher/media artist Yoichi Ochiai. The Signature Pavilions have been planned as the thematic core of the current Expo, assigned to selected Japanese researchers and creators. The steel frame architecture is covered with metallic membranes that waver with the wind and reflect its surroundings, resembling a digital landscape in a futuristic physical world.

First Look at the 2025 Serpentine Pavilion Designed by Marina Tabassum

Serpentine Galleries has just revealed the first photos of the 2025 Serpentine Pavilion. Designed by Bangladeshi architect and educator Marina Tabassum and her firm, Marina Tabassum Architects, the pavilion marks the 25th year since the Serpentine's first commission of Zaha Hadid's inaugural structure in Hyde Park in 2000. Titled "A Capsule in Time," the design takes inspiration from the ephemeral, adaptive architecture of the Bengal Delta, featuring a semi-transparent structure that aims to foster a sense of community and collective experience. The pavilion will be open to the public in London's Kensington Gardens from June 6th to October 26th, 2025.

Stantec Wins International Competition to Reconstruct Ukraine’s State Tax University

Stantec, an architecture, engineering, and environmental consulting firm, has been selected as the winner of an international competition organized by the State Tax University (STU) to redesign its Main Campus building. The building was partially destroyed in 2022 during the early stages of the war. The international call for redesign proposals was launched in November 2024, free of charge and "open to all design bureaus, architectural firms, and individual architects from every corner of the globe." The goal of the competition was to develop a 21st-century educational building described as a "progressive and comfortable place for learning, research, and student leisure based on innovative educational standards," as stated in the competition announcement.
