The aim of the project was to create an ensemble of houses and facilities intended to accommodate children placed in care. The site is located on the edge of a forest, close to the town's public facilities: school, stadium, community hall, etc. The program called for large houses (with seven bedrooms) capable of housing siblings. One of several aims of the project was to break down the various volumes in order to avoid a massive sensation within the project site.

Foster+Partners Unveils Urban Regeneration Masterplan for Shanghai’s Putuo District

Foster + Partners has won a competition to transform Shanghai's Putuo District. The 3.2-square-kilometre masterplan focuses on the urban regeneration of the area surrounding Shanghai West Railway Station, creating a new gateway to China's most populous city. Structured around key transportation modes, the project includes two parallel pedestrian corridors that connect the station to Zhenru Temple and a new urban center planned on a currently undeveloped site. The masterplan follows the 2024 proposals for the Changfeng mixed-use development within Putuo District's Shanghai Science and Technology Finance cluster, part of the broader Shanghai 2035 Masterplan.

104 Abu Dhabi Neighbourhood Parks / SLA

Danish nature-based design studio SLA has completed one of the largest urban greening projects in the UAE: 104 new neighbourhood parks across Abu Dhabi, designed to improve health, biodiversity, and the everyday quality of life for all Abu Dhabi's residents. The project is delivered in close collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport.

Bung Rieng House / Atelier tho.A

Located in a coastal protected forest in Vung Tau, Bung Rieng House is a retreat for a three-generation family, inspired by the natural landscape and vernacular architecture. On a 1,700-square-meter site framed by trees, the new extension sits perpendicular to the original family house, stretched horizontally to maximize views while minimizing land impact.
