Located in the Historic Center of the City of Torres Vedras, the University Residences are a project required by the Torres Vedras City Council, aimed at promoting the rehabilitation and urban revitalization of that area. The intervention consists of the rehabilitation of three buildings predating 1951, which were vacant and in a high state of degradation. The project, divided into two cores, aims to equip the buildings with the necessary conditions for their new function, restoring dignified living conditions and safeguarding significant architectural features for their historical value.

Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) has unveiled images of a master plan for Khalid Bin Sultan City in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Located adjacent to its BEEAH Headquarters, the development draws inspiration from that building's design, incorporating fluid architectural forms reminiscent of wind-swept desert dunes. Planned as a design and business district, the new urban area will consist of seven residential neighbourhoods connected by shaded walkways and anchored by a two-kilometre-long central oasis.

In response to evolving campus needs and a growing interest in cultural and artistic expression, the university administration made a bold decision: rather than constructing a new building, they would breathe new life into an abandoned lecture hall. This choice reflects a broader vision of sustainability, not only in environmental terms, but also through the preservation and reactivation of existing architectural heritage.

ITSUMO Dessert Shop / kousou

The renovation of the ITSUMO dessert shop in Batam began as a collaborative renovation, aiming to challenge local architectural norms. This site's significance stems from it being the client's first store, which she originally designed herself. The renovation aimed to elevate architecture's perception within its typical 'ruko (shop-house) context, beyond just the retail space.
