Garage Building into 63 Apartment Building / Atelier Tequi Architects

Built in 1957 by the architect Claude Béraud, winner of the first Grand Prix de Rome, this former garage is located at 58-60 Avenue Parmentier in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. The project involved extensive renovation and restructuring of the building, as well as a three-story extension with a mixed wood-metal structure, a frame facade, and wood cladding. The existing volume has been preserved, raised, and pierced with courtyards and gardens, allowing for the development of 63 residential units and a commercial space. The project, therefore, includes the preservation of almost the entire garage structure.

Djupvike House and Studio / Ateljé Ö

Ateljé Djupvike is an artist's vision of a combined home and studio designed and brought to life by Ateljé Ö. It is an extremely thought-through house that was thoroughly formed in a several-year-long collaboration between the architect and the client, along with a number of artisans and artists (all friends and colleagues of the client).

Cheongdam Carapace / L'EAU design

Carapace is a term that refers to the hard shell that protects the bodies of animals, such as crustaceans and turtles, primarily in the biological context. It is one of the important defenses each living thing acquired during its evolution, and it protects its body from external threats and safely wraps up important organs inside. The carapace of crustaceans is a hard exoskeleton that covers the head and chest, consisting of chitin, which protects the body from physical damage or predators.

Boundary Residence / cmm architects

This project began with a simple question: how can we create a space where the day starts with quiet reflection, where one can observe a pocket of nature and feel the gentle sunlight passing beneath the eaves of a traditional hanok? From this point, our central concern became the relationship between interior and exterior, and how architecture can mediate the threshold between the two.
