Esmeralda House / Cazú Zegers Arquitectura

At the foot of the Manquehue hill, in the Lo Barnechea commune, Casa Esmeralda is located. It is part of a family settlement built within a privileged sector of Santiago. The project, for the architect's mother, bears the name Esmeralda because her daughter Clara thus defines her grandmother's eyes.

Nid d'aigle House / mainstudio architecture

This bunkhouse was designed to accommodate the young musicians of a music camp in Lanaudière, a region of Quebec in Canada. The bunkhouse, designed to accommodate 30 campers, was built as a replacement for an outdated cottage that was located on the same site and given the same name

Traffic Garden School / Lukas Raeber Architects

A permeable pavilion - a pivot point in the park. The starting point for this project was an exposed-concrete building designed by the architect Erwin Glaser, which has served as a school and daycare center since its opening in 1970. The two-story pavilion is situated in a “traffic garden,” a large green space with a miniature street network where children can learn and practice the rules of the road. The structure is built into a slope at the southern end of the complex and serves as a pivot point between the quiet of the park and the urban space around it.

Escadinhas Footpaths / Paulo Moreira Architectures

‘Escadinhas Footpaths’ is a project that links architecture, art, and the natural world. It is a network of pedestrian footpaths linking the hilly neighborhood of Monte Xisto to the banks of the River Leça in Matosinhos. The initiative is intended to demonstrate the added value that low-budget projects can bring to more ‘hidden’, neglected urban spaces in our cities.
