Bonsai House / Cotaparedes Arquitectos

Located in a private subdivision in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, the Bonsai House rests on a 12x22m (39.37x72.18 ft) lot and faces Southwest on a downward slope of 2m (6.56 ft). The owners, a young couple with children, were looking for a house in which to raise their kids. Among their requests was an indoor pool to be used mainly for exercise and physical therapy. Due to this, the common areas including the living room, dining room, and kitchen would be adapted to these needs.

House Campo de Ourique / Atelier 106

The Project House Campo de Ourique aims to recover an apartment that, thanks to the development of the city and its modern requirements, saw the rise from both sides of two new buildings with garages. At that moment the very history of that neighborhood was unknown, demonstrating clear marks of the times of construction and metamorphosis that define it.

Ronda House / HANGHAR

The home is an exercise of limited resources, in which the reduction of spatial, material, and technological solutions allows the maximum flexibility of use. In response to the ever-changing uncertainty we currently live in as a society, the project, the renovation of an existing 85m2 apartment, is conceived as an open and undefined system capable of functioning as a backdrop to whoever inhabits it. A propositional system, not a limiting one.

Fire and Rescue Station Wiesbaden-Igstadt / Bayer & Strobel Architekten

The special challenge consists in arranging the three utilization units (rescue service, professional and voluntary fire brigade) in a functionally sensible way and at the same time fulfilling the high requirements for noise protection. However, the individual parts of the building should also create a concise overall structure that does justice to the exposed urban situation right at the entrance to the local district.
