Hart Bakery / Spacon & X

A new kind of recipe for designing a bakery. Spacon & X was enlisted by Richard Hart and his team, to expand the ecosystem of HART’s popular bakeries around Copenhagen. They were brought in to create a spatial design with custom-made furniture, lamps, and artwork for their new location in Mærsehuset, on the island of Holmen, in central Copenhagen. A design that reflects the craftsmanship behind HART’s own product. A key aspect when producing the furniture was to ensure that it can be used externally, meaning that it can be incorporated into possible future locations of HART, taking longevity and sustainability into account.

Science and Innovation Center VIZIUM / Audrius Ambrasas Architects

Science and Innovation Centre in Ventspils was designed as a union of architecture and landscape. Instead of proposing a landmark on the bridge axis, we leave it open and inviting. The silhouettes of the building and the hill osculate here. New public spaces such as the science hill mounting up from the plain, an open-air roof terrace and an overlook spot are designed for both the locals and city guests.

"Awareness Makes us Human": In Conversation with Boonserm Premthada, Founder of Bangkok Project Studio

"It's all about attitude and adjusting to the existing circumstances", explains Boonserm Premthada, when asked about his conceptual process. Founder of Bangkok Project Studio, and one of today's most influential Thai figures in architecture, Premthada has been the subject of Bêka & Lemoine's latest documentary, ‘Big Ears Listen With Feet’. The film highlights the personal story of the architect, unveiling all the events and happenings that shaped his unique identity and sensibility. "Deaf from birth", the short movie looks at how the architect's disability led him to listen in a different way, learning from elephants. who "despite their large ears [...] perceive sound mostly through their feet."

Zibo OCT Art Center / Studio Zhu-Pei

Zibo OCT Art Center, an introverted experimental work, is in an open area far away from the city. Its architectural form is conceived from the traditional Chinese academy-“Heyuan”, a central courtyard surrounded by several houses.
