Milash Residence / Nufail Shabana Architects

There is something relaxing and peaceful about the proximity of water … It's a tranquil but uplifting experience… Milash residence designed for a nuclear family, with 4 beds was designed with an open plan utilizing the scenic beauty available outside. The water body and landscape patches seamlessly integrate into the design of the house. All rooms capture the view of the water body. Natural light is bought inside from windows and openings with extended slabs. A striking effect is achieved with extended patios around the house which blurs the line between inside and outside. The entrance foyer into a double-height space creates a volume with ample sunlight and openings.

MB House / Miguel Pinto Guimarães Arquitetos Associados

MB House is part of our endless search for the essence of the Brazilian house. In a very compact plot, which is urban but also surrounded by the forest, the architectural design works as a frame for this scenario. Framed by a straight shaped concrete box, totally focused on the views (Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon in front, and the Christ and the Tijuca Forest in the back), the architecture stretches itself to take full advantage of them.

Santa Ana de Porcuna Chapel Restoration / Pablo Millán

The architectural space is defined by light and matter. Building a space is not a constructive exercise, but the process by which these two elements coexist. This project revolves around the remains of what was the hermitage of Santa Ana de Porcuna. A space battered by the vicissitudes of abandonment and aggressive interventions with the building. The main objective of the project was, by recovering and restoring the pre-existing elements, to provide the necessary spatiality to recover the essentials of a religious space.
