San Crescente Complex / Izquierdo Lehmann

This group of apartments is located in a garden neighborhood close to the financial center of Santiago, on a corner lot with a 50-meter-long front, developed by a group of friends as a project to create something different than what is usually available on the real estate market. The construction is conceived as a unitary volume facing the street, structured by two superimposed models. Lengthwise, a series of wooden elements enhance the intimacy between the street and the back of the lot. Crosswise, a series of concrete walls divides the total volume into five equal bays.

The Danish Architecture Center Opens the First Permanent Exhibition on Danish Architecture in Copenhagen

The Danish Architecture Center (DAC) has announced that the first permanent exhibition on Danish Architecture will open on March 24, 2023, in Copenhagen. The exhibition titled “So Danish!” tells the story of the evolution of architecture in the country, starting from the Viking Age and continuing to the present day. By presenting this history, it aims to help visitors understand the role and influence of architecture in the Danish democratic society.

In Chester, an oceanside village on Nova Scotia’s South Shore, this 1,350 square-foot house was realized for Clare Morris, a woman living in Seattle who was seeking to relocate to Canada. Her instructions were to create a modest and functional house: “a straightforward home that feels good.”
