Why are Scale Models So Appealing?

Ambitious and diverse, models are representative tools non-exclusive to architects. Peculiar fascination with miniatures – and what they tell us about our larger world- extends to all ages, cultures, and purposes. From scaled temples of clay from 200 B.C. found in Mexico, ceramic models carried during medieval Islamic journeys, Victorian doll houses, and LEGOS, models are more than baby buildings. Miniatures unveil the essentials, explain much larger concepts, contain intimate and historical data, and invite us to challenge our known selves and perspective.

"Seaside garden" is designed and being developed as a building complex in one of the Lithuanian resorts, near the coast of the Baltic Sea, Palanga. The neighborhood of the natural environment had a great influence in creating and shaping the future identity of the vacant plot. Thus, there was a need for creating a vibrant live environment all year round. And the residential duplex buildings of aesthetic minimalistic architecture that have "sprouted" in “Seaside garden” are comfortably and practically planned, suitable for living and resting for the whole family.

Interior design for a second store specializing in luxury watches from around the world. The site is part of “Nakano Broadway”, a commercial facility known as a mecca for subcultures, with a high density of various products and small stores. In recent years, it has also become known as a mecca for luxury watches, with many watch stores lining the streets. Since the store is in a unique commercial facility, it was necessary to follow the brand image created by the main store, but also to reconstruct it in consideration of the different environment and relationship with the clientele.
