New Interior for Casa Batlló Stairs & Atrium / Kengo Kuma & Associates

Casa Batlló is a homage to the light of the Mediterranean: its light, shadow, and colors of the sky and sea. The central courtyard captures all that Mediterranean light and distributes it vertically to all the corners of the house, no matter how remote they are. The color gradation from darker to lighter blue doses the light in its vertical travel and makes sure it does not lose its pigments.

Sabará Apartment / Renata Lovro Arquitetura

The apartment located in the Higienópolis neighborhood was still in accordance with the original plan from the 1940s. Despite its spacious rooms, they were all segmented. The walls refrained the flow of people, and also natural light and ventilation. The desire and challenge were to connect the living areas into a single space. The intervention proposal for the social area was to create a permanent connection between the balcony and the kitchen, where the most generous light entrances are located, opening up new perspectives for the use of the space.

Carpe Diem Apartments / mojo/architecten

Architecture. It had to be a striking tower, which is a beacon in its area but also offers shelter to the Karel Appelhof square. Carpe Diem is therefore inspired by the towers in the beautiful medieval Italian San Gimignano. Towers that have grown over time to trump the neighboring buildings in prestige and beauty. That is how our quest towards, an architectural composition in which the different scale levels of the neighborhood and the place merge, started. With attention to detail and the human scale.
